Improve Employee Performance

A Non-Disciplinary Approach to Managing Performance

   Watch Promo

When each employee performs well, your business unit performs well.

One of the most important duties for managers and supervisors is to ensure that each employee performs to the best of their ability. And most employees want to feel successful. So why is there a gap between what you expect and how employees actually perform? What are the barriers and the disconnects?

By exploring these, and then applying new skills and techniques, you can guide your employees to high levels of performance. Whether it's correcting poor performance, or taking a good performer to an exceptional one.

Who should take this course?

This course is for success oriented managers, supervisors, team leaders and executive that want their employees to perform well (and consequently - have their business unit perform well!). It is for those looking for a non-disciplinary system to correct performance issue. In particular, those that are required (or interested in) using employee performance evaluations would be greatly benefit from this course.

This is NOT a disciplinary course. It is not intended for those looking to correct through discipline or punitive action. And is it not intended to deal with those severe problems that may result in discipline.

How we ensure your success

The curriculum has been carefully designed to meet specific learning outcomes. In particular, by the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Apply a systematic, non-disciplinary approach to improving performance by:

  • Set clear expectations for each employee
  • Deliver effective feedback to 1) correct poor performance and 2) reinforce good performance
  • Apply different types of motivation to maximize performance
The approach to learning combines knowledge (through video based lectures), as well as exercises where you will apply tools and techniques through case studies. The application is necessary to truly develop skills that you can apply in the workplace.

Self Evaluation
At the end of each section, you will have a quiz such that you can evaluated how well you met the learning objectives for that section. You can then go back and review any areas as needed (or contact your instructor with questions!). And at the end of the course, there is a detailed self assessment to determine how well you met the overall learning objectives of the course. You have unlimited access to the course, so can go back at any time to review and strengthen areas.
